On April 4th, 2008, the Medford City Council approved plans for the construction of a 37,338 square foot medical office building, on approximately 4.14 acres located north of Barnett Road.
The site is currently vacant on three of the four tax parcels that comprise the subject property. The north portion of tax parcel 4300 has existing apartment structures on site that will be removed for the development of this project. Properties located to the north of the site are zoned MFR-30 (Multi Family Residential – 30 units per acre) and SFR-4 (Single Family Residential – 4 units per acre). Located to the north of the site is an existing apartment complex and detached single family residential units. The property immediately east is zoned MFR-30 and also has been developed as an apartment complex. The property to the south is zoned C-SP (Service-Professional Commercial) and currently has a vacant commercial building on site. Immediately west of the site, the property is zoned MFR-30 and has existing apartments on site. The property across Highland Drive is the location of Bear Creek Park, which has an underlying zoning ofMFR-30.
